Solution 01 · India gas-meter project
An Indian engineering project company was developing a smart gas meter that combines payment reminders, theft alarms and other functions in one device. The meter needed a compact, dependable power source that could support its long-term operating profile for at least 10 years.
The multi-function meter required reliable standby power in a restricted installation space, while its payment-reminder and anti-theft functions created a demanding long-service-life requirement.
We designed a meter-mounted 2ER18505 + SPC1520 lithium thionyl chloride battery pack, matching the available space and the project’s long-duration power requirement.
The resulting configuration gave the project a compact power solution designed to maintain the smart gas meter’s supply target for at least 10 years.

Solution 02 · UK smart helmet project
A UK smart helmet project had a very small battery compartment, making battery thickness a critical requirement. The PCB area was especially challenging: the customer set an ideal maximum thickness target of 3.25 mm.
The 202626 polymer pouch battery had to fit a tightly constrained helmet battery compartment while keeping the PCB and IC section within the required thickness.
Through repeated engineering refinement and thickness control of the PCB design, we developed a compact battery configuration tailored to the smart helmet installation space.
The PCB with IC was reduced to 3.20 mm, meeting the customer’s 3.25 mm target and fully satisfying the project’s space requirement.
Solution 03 · UK water-quality project
A UK water-quality monitoring project initially supplied only one dimensional constraint and a broad concept. The customer later believed that a new, major-brand energy-storage battery would be required to deliver the needed discharge performance, cycle life and service life.
With limited specification detail and a fixed installation size, the project needed a practical battery choice that could meet the required discharge profile, cycling requirement and operating life without over-specifying the system.
We calculated the project’s actual power, cycle-life and service-life needs, then recommended dismantled LTO 2.3V 20Ah cells rather than a new major-brand energy-storage battery platform.
The selected LTO solution was sufficient for the project’s discharge, cycling and life requirements, while saving the customer tens of thousands of US dollars in battery costs.
